Prayer
Ash Wednesday: Wednesday, February 14th. This is one of the most popular holy days in the liturgical year. The ashes used come from the burning of the palms from the previous year. Our students pray for you a couple of days before Ash Wednesday in a Burning Palms Prayer Service.
Join us for Mass at 7:00 am and 7:00 pm
Stations of the Cross: This Catholic devotion commemorates the last day of Jesus leading up to his crucifixion.

Adult Education during Lent: We usually have talks for Adults on the Wednesdays of Lent at 7pm in the church. We also broadcast them on YouTube and Facebook. Please look at the bulletin for updated information or click on the "talks" tab on the website.
Weekday Mass: Have you ever been to a weekday Mass? This Mass is generally brief, contemplative and beautiful. There are no assigned seats, so don't be bashful.
Masses are Tuesday through Friday, 9:00 am.
Chrism Mass: During
this Mass at The
Cathedral of Our Lady of Lourdes, Bishop Daly
blesses the Holy Oils used for the upcoming year.
This special Mass is March 20th (date to be confirmed) at 5:15 pm.
It lasts about an hour and includes all the priests
of the diocese. All are welcome to witness this
impressive ritual.
Holy Thursday Mass of the Lord's Supper: Thursday,
March 28th, 7:00 pm. On this important day in Jesus'
life, we commemorate the first Mass and honor the
institution of priesthood. Fr. Miguel will wash the
feet of twelve parishioners to remember Christ's
washing the feet of the twelve apostles.
Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament: Holy
Thursday, March 28th, following Mass until 11:00 pm
in the office building. This is a good time to grow
spiritually and stay connected to the celebration of
the Eucharist.
Good Friday Service: Friday,
March 29th, 7:00 pm. This day centers on the
veneration of the Cross. No Masses are held, but you
can receive the Eucharist, which was consecrated the
night before on Holy Thursday.
Easter Vigil: Saturday, March 30th, 8:00 pm.
We joyfully celebrate our catechumens and candidates
into full initiation into the Catholic Church. Mass
begins with a bonfire, then we process by candlelight
into the church. It's a very special and beautiful
Mass.
Easter Sunday: Sunday,
March 31st, Masses 8:00 am and 10:30 am. We celebrate
the resurrection of the Lord, the end of Holy Week
and the beginning of the Easter Season.
What does this mean?
For ages 18-59, fasting means to have only one full
meal. You can eat a little at a regular mealtime, but
the daily total intake should not be
more than the one full meal. You should not eat
between meals. For ages 14 and up, abstaining means
one should not eat meat.
Catholics are to fast and abstain on Ash
Wednesday and Good Friday, and to
abstain on the Fridays of Lent. We do this as a
reminder of Jesus' sacrifice for us.
The Catechism of the Catholic Church says
almsgiving is a "witness to fraternal charity" and "a
work of justice pleasing to God." (CCC 2462) At Our
Lady of Fatima, the work of the gospel is a
focus year round. During Lent, we highly encourage
parishioners and friends to branch out and try
something new.
